Background
Welcome to Klaxos. I am Christian Moritz, the founder, leader, and head writer of Klaxos. Before Klaxos, I had several decades of experience managing multimillion-dollar businesses, recruiting and leading teams, and growing revenue. I worked at AOL, Kraft-Heinz, Pepsi, Coors, Choice Hotels, Bank of New York Mellon, Aetna, the National Association of Manufacturers, and Sodexo. I led business units with teams of 20+, researching GTM strategy and implementing P&L, product, marketing, sales, finance, communications, media, and government relations. I studied business strategy at Harvard and earned an MBA in marketing from the University of Pittsburgh. I am a recognized leader in advanced LinkedIn strategies, pioneering the concept in early 2009. Presenting as a keynote speaker at sales training, industry seminars, universities, trade associations, and corporate meetings is a strength. In late 2011, I decided to transition my side hustle into a company.
Why I created Klaxos
In 2009, as part of my corporate full-time job, I pioneered using LinkedIn to increase visibility for key external facing staff and generate sales leads for business development staff. I noticed it was emerging as the primary marketplace buyers of complex B2B products (e.g., emerging cloud computing) and professional services (e.g., IT consultants) searched for vendors. I learned that LinkedIn had become the top sourcing tool used by job recruiters searching for candidates. I also saw the frustration colleagues endured when their skills, experiences, and accomplishments went unnoticed by job recruiters. I wanted to help quality candidates escape the metaphorical black hole of job hunting—where resumes enter but never leave because the Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) blocks them from moving forward, leaving the applicant without an interview, explanation, or hope. I realized that most resume services outsourced their work to low-quality freelance writers overseas with zero experience within US enterprise organizations.
Klaxos was launched in January 2012 with these goals

Carolyn has 18 years of experience in writing, recruiting, and communications. She has written resumes and LinkedIn profiles for over 200 diverse industry verticals such as technology, finance, health care, pharmaceutical, legal, media, sales, manufacturing, military, consumer products, and nonprofit. Prior to joining us, she was employed at Wells Fargo leading human resources, recruiting, and interviewing. Prior to that, she spent seven years as the director of communications, public relations, and external media at UPMC hospital in Pittsburgh. Carolyn holds a bachelor's degree in technical writing.
Karl has comprehensive experience writing technology, public relations, media, marketing, communications, and all other functional resumes and LinkedIn profiles. He is an expert in all areas of search engine optimization and LinkedIn professional networking services and has written more than 1,000 professional resumes and Linkedin profiles. As a Certified Professional Resume Writer, Karl has created profiles for clients in more than 30 countries, from Australia to the United Kingdom. He holds a bachelor's degree in writing from the University of Pittsburgh and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland.
Susan leverages her 16 years of business experience in healthcare technology, electronic medical records, clinical systems, medical devices, and project management to write impactful resumes and LinkedIn profiles. She has extensive public and private sector health technology experience, including supporting Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Health and Human Services (HHS). Before joining our team, she started her career at Epic EMR and Booz Allen. Susan is passionate about crafting standout resumes and profiles, turning vision into action, and action into results. She attended Dickinson College, earning a bachelor’s degree in International Business.
Rebecca writes resumes, cover letters, and other career documents. She installs new LinkedIn profiles that increase visibility and create more interviews or sales leads. As a curious, creative, and compassionate professional, she aims to help professionals through writing. She attended Arizona State University, earning a bachelor's degree in communications.
Nick has 30+ years of technical expertise in digital media strategy, website UX, UI design, SEO, and front & backend engineering.
