Below is the procedure for our resume and LinkedIn profile writing services:

1. Purchase the appropriate resume or LinkedIn package and add-on services.
2. You will instantly receive an email with the subject line: Receipt & Next Steps: Klaxos.
3. Send us your current resume (if no resume, it's not a problem) and any other information (e.g., job descriptions, jobs of interest, web pages) you want us to review.
4. We will review your submission and match you with a Klaxos team member who knows your function, industry, and level.
5. You will schedule a phone or video interview with us to review the information you have submitted.
6. After the consultation is finished, the 3-5 business days (2 business days for priority service) delivery time starts.
7. We will send you any requested edits/revisions within 1 business day. You can schedule another consultation to discuss edits.
8. The final resume will be delivered in Microsoft Word and PDF formats.
9. After we receive your written approval, we install the profile we wrote into your LinkedIn account. Upon request, we can email it to you in Microsoft Word so you can self-install it. We are the ONLY service that installs your new profile into your LinkedIn account.
10. If you bought other documents (e.g., cover letter, bio), you will receive them within 2 business days of your approval of your final resume.

80% of resumes never get viewed by a human. An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is the software that is the judge, jury, and executioner of the online job application you submitted. The ATS algorithm scans, parses (organizes), ranks based on skills keyword matching and rejects 80% of resumes. ATS software cannot parse (organize) resumes that contain two columns, tables, logos, images, symbols, odd fonts, headers, footers, and other fancy styling. In May 2010, the government started converting federal hiring to be more like the private sector. Part of the change was to agree to take business-private sector style resumes if they included the requirements of the federal job posting. It also eliminated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities KSAs from the initial application. For the previously described federal USAJOBS situations, our business-style resume writing, with a maximum of two pages, focusing on accomplishments, skills, and bullets for easy scanning by humans and ATS technology is a great fit.

However, a few offices still require the old federal government-style resume, which is usually 4 to 8 pages long, written in paragraph (not bullet) format, and listing comprehensive details of every employment position, focusing on responsibilities and duties and less on outcomes and achievements.
